Assembled Camshafts from ThyssenKrupp Presta Camshafts are suitable for all kinds of combustion engines. The main applications being passenger car engines, both ‘In Line’ and ‘V’ configuration, from 3 to 12 cylinders. The technology however is equally suitable for truck and motorcycle engines where corresponding potential for weight saving and function integration is possible.

No matter whether the valve train has roller follower rocker arms, where we would recommend forged steel material due to the high contact stress, or bucket tappets where we would recommend sinter camlobes - we have the solution. In addition our assembly technology enables the integration of additional functions such as the following:

• Drive elements (sprocket wheels, timing belt sprockets, gears, cogwheels)
• Cylinder head ‘assembly’ aid features hexagon feature, 2-flats
• Timing Rings/Sensor elements
• Direct Injection Pump Lobes, Fuel Injection and Vacuum Pump drive systems
• Oil guide systems (e.g. to drive camshaft phasers)
• Radial and Axial Bearing Elements
